Epcot is more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom. (To me it doesn’t seem like it, but it is true!) Epcot is the land of culture and adventure! The park is represented by Spaceship Earth, the big white golfball looking sphere that also serves as an attraction.
The landscape at Epcot is absolutely beautiful! (Fun fact: EPCOT is an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow!) Epcot is divided into two separate areas: Future World and World Showcase.
When you enter Epcot, you will be in Future World. Future World is all about innovation and technology. It is where you can find some awesome adventures such as Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Mission: Space, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, etc.
World Showcase is a large area containing eleven “pavilions,” or mini worlds as I like to call them! Each is themed and dedicated to represent a specific country designed around the The World Showcase Lagoon, a large man-made lake located in the center of World Showcase. The countries included are: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, & Canada. These are a must see and experience! Yes, all eleven! When you walk into each respective country, you can get a stamp for your passport and feel like you are actually there! Be sure to take a lot of pictures and test the amazing food each area offers! (Fun fact: In an effort to maintain the authenticity of the represented countries, the pavilions are primarily staffed by actual citizens of the respective countries!) The live entertainment will blow you away as you venture down city streets and stop to shop in small venues within each country!
Epcot host a variety of shows and events every year, so be sure to check out a listing on the calendar to see if some event or festival will be there while you are!
